Singapore and British Embassies to relocate to Fort Bonifacio Global City!
In a sign of confidence on the future of the Fort Bonifacio Global City as the Philippines ' newest business district, the Singapore and British Embassies in the Philippines are set to relocate to there from their present offices in Makati City.
The Singapore Embassy bought a 10,800-square-meter property in the area, an official of the Fort Bonifacio Development Corp. (FBDC) said. FBDC Commercial Operations head Aniceto V. Bisnar, Jr. said that the Embassy will construct its new office south of the Fort Square restaurant.
Meanwhile, the British Embassy had agreed to purchase a 1.2-hectare property to build a new embassy building at the McKinley Hill project, also in Fort Bonifacio Global City. The British Embassy, currently based in Makati City, is among the first institutions to locate their operations at McKinley Hill, a 50-hectare mixed-use township catering to an international clientele.
According to officials of the Fort Bonifacio Global City, three more embassies are exploring the possibility of building their new chanceries at the emerging business district.
