Laguna is a first-class province located about 30 kilometers from the southern tip of Metro Manila. Due to this favorable location, Laguna has become known both as a suburban residential community of Metro Manila, as well as a dynamic production hub for many businesses based in the Metropolis.

Laguna province is a nature lover's dream. It is home to verdant mountains and hills, abundant in lush greenery and foliage, and awash with waterfalls, lakes, and brooks that make it ideal for water activities.
- Laguna province lies in close proximity to Metro Manila. It is connected to the Metropolis through the expansive and modern South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) which facilitates travel to and from Metro Manila in about 30 to 45 minutes. It is expected to be connected via high-speed train in the near future as the SouthRail train system is now being planned.
- Laguna province is home to such popular tourist attractions as the Enchanted Kingdom theme park, various hot springs in Pansol municipality that impart therapeutic benefits, Pagsanjan Falls, Mount Makiling, Jose Rizal Shrine in Calamba, Laguna De Bay and Pakil and Paete towns famous for wood carvings and papier mache. It is also very near to such weekend getaway destinations as Manila Southwoods and Santa Elena Golf clubs, Mount Banahaw, Tagaytay City and Nasugbu, Batangas.
- The province is home to a host of multinational and local manufacturing plants like Coca-Cola, Toyota, Ford Motor Company, Nissan Motors, Isuzu and Mitsubishi located in huge industrial estates. The province is also preparing to host an influx of BPO and call center companies that are expected to further contribute to the enhancement of employment opportunities in the area.
- Laguna is now home to retail establishments such as SM, Robinsons, Pavilion Mall and Paseo De Santa Rosa. As such, there is now a whole new level of shopping and dining experiences available in the area.
- The province is the site of prestigious educational institutions that provide world-class methods of imparting knowledge to the young. Among these are Brent School, University of the Philippines Los Banos, and Trace College Los Banos. Some areas of Laguna is likewise proximate to the De La Salle University in nearby Cavite province.
- Laguna offers a wide array of business opportunities that big, medium and small investors and entrepreneurs can go into. Such opportunities include eco-tourism, convention and leisure, cutflowers and ornamentals, fruit and vegetable processing, herbal medicines, spas, gifts and housewares, metalcraft, service facilities, electronics, forestry and agriculture among others.
