The Araneta Center in Quezon City's Cubao district is a 350,000 square meter commercial area in Quezon City, Philippines. Because of its central location, it is visited by an estimated one million people each day.
In recent years, the Araneta Center Cubao has been redeveloped towards a more contemporary retail and recreational center that has appeal not only to the masses but also to the middle class. Such redevelopments are part of an ambitious US$1.25 billion master plan to transform Araneta Center Cubao into an important entertainment, retail and business center in the next 20 years.

The massive Araneta Coliseum, fondly called "The Big Dome", is at the epicenter of the developments. It has been renovated in the past several years and continues to lure big events, concerts, basketball games and entertainment shows. It is because of this ability to continually attract big entertainment events that the developers have seen the potentials of further enhancing Araneta Center Cubao's features and offerings.
Adjacent to the Araneta Coliseum is the PhP2 billion brand new Gateway Mall which offers five levels of shopping, dining and entertainment space. Atop the Gateway Mall is a seven-storey office tower equipped with advanced telecommunications facilities and broadband technology designed to attact business process outsourcing (BPO) companies.
The redevelopment of Araneta Center Cubao carefully considers both upscale and economy markets. For example, flea market centers are now concentrated in one area. It also considers ultimate comfort and convenience, which is why the design of the new Araneta Center Cubao will put shopping and entertainment destinations side by side with the business centers.
The Araneta Center Cubao development Master Plan also includes the construction of high-rise residential condominiums, hotel facilities, and the majestic Manila Tower, a towering communications building that is expected to rival Paris ' Eiffel Tower in height, and is envisioned to be the most important landmark symbolizing Manila and the Philippines in the coming years.
